Jakarta, September 29, 2026 – MKI Electricity Connect 2026 and Enlit Asia were successfully held on September 22–24, 2026, at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD City, Jakarta. Over three days, the event brought together more than 11,000 participants, over 280 exhibitors, and hundreds of speakers and industry leaders from Indonesia, ASEAN, and various international countries. Carrying the theme “Powering Regional Sovereignty, Securing Energy Systems Resilience,” the event featured the ASEAN Energy Dialogue, Strategic Summit, Knowledge Hubs, specialized forums, business matching sessions, and a technology exhibition addressing key issues such as grid modernization, digitalization and AI, industrial decarbonization, data center power demand, and nuclear energy development.

The Opening Ceremony of MKI Electricity Connect 2026 and Enlit Asia was officially inaugurated by the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Bahlil Lahadalia, alongside Acting Director General of Electricity at the Ministry of ESDM, Tri Winarno. They were accompanied by Chairman of the MKI Board of Supervisors and President Director of PT PLN (Persero), Darmawan Prasodjo; General Chairman of MKI and Director of Project Management and Renewable Energy of PT PLN (Persero), Suroso Isnandar; Organizing Committee Chair of Electricity Connect 2026 and Director of Distribution of PT PLN (Persero), Arsyadany G. Akmalaputri; and Portfolio Director of Enlit Asia – Clarion Events, Simon Hoare. The presence of these key stakeholders highlighted the critical importance of cross-sector collaboration in bolstering energy security and electrical system readiness across Indonesia and the ASEAN region.

Six strategic partnerships worth a total of Rp3.3 trillion in green investment were also officially launched during Enlit Asia and MKI Electricity Connect 2026. These agreements cover green investment development, clean technology, domestic content requirement (TKDN) enhancement, and energy infrastructure strengthening. This milestone demonstrates that the event served not only as a platform for discussion, but also as a catalyst for concrete action supporting national energy resilience and industrial development.

Arsyadany G.
