In celebration of the 80th National Electricity Day (HLN), the Indonesian Electricity Society (MKI) North Sumatra Chapter organized a prestigious sporting event titled “Green Energy Golf Tournament MKI Sumut #1” on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at Royal Sumatera Golf Course, Medan.

The event received full support from PT PLN (Persero) as the main partner in realizing a strong commitment to advancing sustainable energy development in North Sumatra. In his remarks, Datuk Rektor, Dr. H. M. Isa Indrawan, S.E., M.M., who also serves as the Chairman of MKI North Sumatra, emphasized that achieving the vision of Indonesia Emas must be supported through the strengthening of the green energy sector. He highlighted three key points: first, encouraging broader private sector participation in the development of alternative, blue, and renewable energy;

second, supporting PT PLN in continuously advancing technology to enhance service quality for the public; and third, hoping that this tournament will inspire innovation, research, and new concepts to strengthen the future of Indonesia’s energy transition.

The event was also attended by Vice Chairman of the Central Executive Board (DPP) of MKI, Alihuddin Sitompul, who demonstrated his strong commitment and synergy in promoting collaboration toward a resilient and sustainable electricity system.

Through this tournament, MKI North Sumatra Chapter is committed to making it an annual event that not only strengthens networks among stakeholders but also reinforces the collective movement toward a sustainable and environmentally friendly national electricity system.
