ABOUT PLN LOCOMOTION

Based on the directives from the President of the Republic of Indonesia regarding the Proudly Made in Indonesia Affirmative Action, President Jokowi has instructed state-owned enterprises (BUMN) to trigger economic growth by using domestic products. During the Affirmative Action for Increasing the Purchase and Utilization of Domestic Products as part of the National Proudly Made in Indonesia Movement held last May, President Jokowi reiterated that all agencies must purchase local products to boost the economy, particularly for local entrepreneurs and MSMEs. In line with this directive, PLN continues to commit to increasing the Domestic Component Level (TKDN). As of August, the realization has reached 45.85%, with domestic expenditure amounting to IDR 9.43 trillion out of a total expenditure of IDR 20.58 trillion. This achievement has already exceeded this year’s target of 42%.

‌However, PLN is not complacent, as the goal is not just to meet the target but to exceed it. Therefore, PLN is initiating the TKDN Exhibition to enhance synergy and collaboration for increasing the Domestic Component Level in the electricity sector. The TKDN Exhibition is an event that connects local business players with their target markets through exhibitions, discussions, and cooperation (MoU signings), aiming to promote the ecosystem of local products and build synergy between agencies, producers, and local MSMEs. The exhibition is titled: PLN Locomotion.
