ABOUT THE EVENT
The Directorate General of Electricity - Ministry of Energy & Mineral Resources, PT. PLN (Persero) and the Indonesian Electrical Power Society have taken the initiative to conduct “THE 78th INDONESIA NATIONAL ELECTRICITY DAY EVENT SERIES – 2023” which be held from 16th-16th November 2023 at the ICE BSD, Jakarta. With theme “STRENGTHENING ASEAN READINESS IN ENERGY TRANSITION".

The Event of THE 78th INDONESIA NATIONAL ELECTRICITY DAY (INED) 2023 would be held from 14th - 16th November 2023 at Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD Jakarta. We expect that this event would be attended up to 1000 participants from all over Indonesia & foreign countries.
The exhibition would feature technologies and services relevant to Electrical Power applications. This Official Event to commemorate Indonesia Electricity Day 2023 is organized yearly by The Indonesia Electrical Power Society (MKI). More than 100 domestic and foreign exhibitors participated every year.
BRIEF HISTORY
INDONESIA NATIONAL ELECTRICITY DAY
Electricity for public consumption has started its history in Indonesia when a private Dutch company, NV. NIGN, which was originally involved in gas sector, decided to expand its activities into the generation of electricity for public consumption. The history of electrical power in Indonesia has ebbed and flowed in tandem with the tide of the people's struggle. October 27th, 1945, subsequently became known as Electricity and Gas Day, and was commemorated for the first time on October 27th, 1946, in Gedung Badan Pekerja Komite Nasional (“BPKNP”), Yogyakarta. Bearing in mind the importance of electricity, based upon Minister of Mines and Energy Decree No. 1134.K/43.PE/1992, dated August 31st 1992, October 27th was declared as the National Electricity Day
